We have implemented our renowned standards of precision work with small turbochargers into the EMD turbochargers we now remanufacture. The most demanding user of Electromotive Engines can be assured of continued high performance and longevity with attractive cost savings.

Our remanufactured EMD turbos are build to MI 275 specifications and are equal to a new unit. All older turbos are upgraded to present technological improvements and as a result perform as well or better than when they were new.

Foremost, Quality Turbocharger Components offers the customer a 1-year warranty coverage as provided by the original equipment manufacturer on remanufactured components.

Our EMD turbocharger mechanics have over 21 years of experience each in repair and qualifying of EMD turbochargers and component parts.

Specialty tools are used to insure all parts are requalified to O.E.M. specifications.

Dial indicators and micrometers that read in .0001 of an inch are used to check each component part.

A precision table is used to dowel all main casings and component parts. Every turbocharger we build is processed across the table to make sure all casings are properly aligned.

Special trunions are used during tear down and assembly of turbochargers.

All parts are vatted or put in an oven to remove all paints, gaskets, oils, and carbons. Some parts are sand blasted or hand cleaned. After vatting and sand blasting all parts are pressure washed and dried to assure no foreign material is left in castings.

Twenty one years of training assure that each turbocharger is properly checked and assembled.

All rotors are precision balanced on a new Schenck balancer which is capable of handling 35 lbs. to 500 lbs. Remanufactured rotors are balanced well below O.E.M. specifications.
